Aussie Burrito Recipe

You Will Need

  • Teres Major
  • Pineapple
  • Beetroot (julienne cut)
  • Chipotle Jalapeño Cream Sauce (recipe below)
  • Breading (recipe below)
  • Egg
  • Burito Size Flour Tortilla

Chipotle Jalapeño Cream Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Crema (Mexican Style Sour Cream)
  • 1/4 cup Mayo
  • 1/4 cup of Chipotle Paste
  • 1 Tablespoon of Sun-dried Tomatoes
  • 1 Piece Jalapeño (chopped and seeded)
  • 1 Spoonful of Vegemite

Combine all ingredients and mix using a blender until all are incorporated.


  • Beetroot (julienne cut)
  • All-purpose Flour
  • Baking Soda
  • Baking Powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Australian Beer


Combine all the powder ingredients in a bowl, put the Australian beer in a separate bowl. Put the beetroot first on the powder ingredients then to the beer and cover again with the powder ingredients. Deep- fry. Once cooked, put them on a paper towel to drain the excess oil.

Grill the meat, set aside once done. Then grill the pineapple. After cooking the pineapple diced it or cut it into small cubes and set aside.

Julienne the beetroot, then double bread it and deep fry.

Heat up the flour tortilla. Once heated, lay down the meat at the center of the tortilla. Put some diced grilled pineapple on top of the meat. Add the crispy fried beetroot and the Vegemite on top. Season the egg with salt and pepper and lay on the burito. Lastly, wrap the tortilla and it’s ready to taste.
