Ingredients
- 1 Rack Ribs
- 1/4 Cup Mix (Recipes Below)
- 1/2 Cup Apple Juice
Mixture Combination
- 1/4 Cup Honey Granules
- 5 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Teaspoon Paprika
- 2 Tablespoon Butter Buds
- 1/4 Teaspoon Onion Powder
OR 2nd Mixture Combination
- 1 Stick Melted Butter
- 5 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Teaspoon Paprika
- 1/4 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- 3 Tablespoon Raw Honey
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all the ingredients using a whisk or fork.
- For 1 rack of spare ribs, combine 1/4 cup of the mixture with 1/2 cup of apple juice.
- Preserve leftover rub mixture for up to six months in an airtight jar or ziploc
HOW TO USE
- For every rack of ribs, use 1/4 cup of the butter bath combination and 1/2 cup of apple juice.
- Put a sizable piece of aluminum foil on top of your rack of ribs. Pour the bath butter carefully over and around the ribs. The ribs will continue to cook for another two hours in the smoker after being sealed up.
- NOTE: If you want to wrap the pork shoulder in this butter bath, mix 1/2 cup of the powder with 1 cup of apple juice.
