  • Applewood Chips
  • Smoker

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Chicken (halved)
  • 1 Teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 2 Tablespoon Brown Sugar

Instructions
 

  • In a big bowl, mix everything together except the chicken.
  • Chicken halves should be rubbed with the spice mixture, covered with plastic wrap, and chilled for an hour.
  • Use Applewood chips in your smoker if at all feasible. If not, build a tin foil pouch with applewood chips and put it in the smoker.
  • Preheat your smoker to 325 °F.
  • Place the chicken in the smoker and let it cook for two hours. Serve.
