Elk is some of the finest red meat on the planet. And here is one easy step to enjoy and savor this meat!
You Will Need
- 2 Elk Steaks 10-12oz ea
- 1 Tablespoon Kosher Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Ground Black Pepper
- 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 6 Cloves Garlic
- 2 Sprigs Fresh Rosemary
Season the elk steak with kosher salt and coarse ground black pepper. Flip it over and do the same on the other side.
Fire up the grill, you can use a cast-iron pan to create a nice crust.
Once the pan is heated and ready put some butter into it. Lay the steak right on the skillet and it will start searing. Cook it for about 2 minutes. Throw garlic, a sprig of rosemary and add a touch of butter for flavor. After 2 minutes flip over the steak to cook the other side and cook for 2 minutes as well. While cooking, drizzle the butter and garlic mixture over the top.
After a total of 4 minutes remove the steak from the pan and let it rest while cooking the other steak the same way.
Let it rest for about 6-7 minutes and it’s all good to taste!
