Smoked Portobello Mushrooms Recipe
These mushrooms are a traditional smoker option and may be eaten on their own or substituted for the meat in a vegetarian "burger" (really, try it – dress it the same as a beef burger).

Ingredients
- 6 Large Portobello Mushrooms
- Italian Salad Dressing (or your preferred substitute, try Lane’s “Sorta White”)
- 6 Hamburger Buns
- 6 Slices American Cheese (sub any cheese you prefer)
Instructions
- Clean mushrooms gently with a wet paper towel. Remove the stems.
- For one hour, marinate mushrooms in Italian dressing.
- Place drained mushrooms straight onto the smoker's grates.
- Smoke for 45 minutes at 220 °F.
- Toast hamburger buns.
- Serve the mushroom heated on a toasted hamburger bun with a piece of cheese on top.
