Preheat grill. Preheat iron frying pan.
Put oil, butter, onion, garlic, and season with SPG. Put the chicken thighs bottom side down and add the beer and hot sauce.
Put SPG seasoning on top. Put the lid back on and cook for 10 minutes.
Then place the chicken thighs over the grill grate indirect opposite the hot coals with the grill temp for about 300-325 degrees.
Put the cover back on and cook for 20-30 minutes.
Every now and then baste the chicken with the beer, butter garlic and onion sauce. Internal temp should be about 165 degrees.
Once done, put chicken on a plate and drizzle with the remaining sauce and serve.
