Applewood Smoked Chicken Recipe

- 1 Chicken (halved)
- 1 Teaspoon Paprika
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 1/2 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1/2 Teaspoon Dried Thyme
- 2 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
In a big bowl, mix everything together except the chicken.
Chicken halves should be rubbed with the spice mixture, covered with plastic wrap, and chilled for an hour.
Use Applewood chips in your smoker if at all feasible. If not, build a tin foil pouch with applewood chips and put it in the smoker.
Preheat your smoker to 325 °F.
Place the chicken in the smoker and let it cook for two hours. Serve.
